Útrás Consulting Ltd. is working with British companies on design and implementation of
environmental power plants, employing new technology and also integrating
existing power plants to increase efficiency in the electrical power
production.
The first phase of
the British project is to design sustainable power plant where biofuel power
unit, gaspressure let down power unit and thermal binary power unit are
integrated into combined “green” power plant.
Each power station is
designed to produce 20MWe of electricity; of which 12MWe
will be generated by diesel engines powered by bio fuel. About 6MWe
are derived from pressure reduction of natural gas and 2MWe from cooling
water and exhaust heat from the diesel engines. In addition, thermal heat
generated in the system will be utilised for district and domestic
heating.
The first power plant
is located in Beckton, near the City Airport in London. Design of the power plant
is well under way and the costruction work is already started. The plant production
will start in the year 2015 and the electricity and the heat will sold the
water utility and service company, Thames Water.
The innovation
element of the project lies within the integration of diesel engines, natural
gas pressure and a thermal heat.
The engineering/design
team consists of experts from Útrás Consulting Ltd. and a Europian Engineering
and Consulting Companies. Those Companies were chosen following an International
tender proposal.
Útrás Consulting Ltd. provides design and technological solutions for power engines and heat
utilisation. British and Europian Companies are in charge of engineering
systems for gas pressure reduction and construction of buildings and local
engineering infrastructure.
Future plans are to
expand this concept and project similar power plants in other European
Countries and the USA.
